The 1.2.1.001 update overhauled the Supreme Calamitas fight and added a new phase to Jungle Dragon, Yharon's fight. It also rebalanced most Godseeker Mode weapons, removed boss DPS caps, and added several vanilla item recipes.

General[]

  • All legendary weapon drop chances for specific bosses have been increased from 0.2% / 0.22% in Prehardmode, 0.33% / 0.4% in Hardmode, and 2% / 2.5% post-Moon Lord to 2% / 2.5% at all times.

Astrum Deus[]

  • Buffed head's contact damage from 110 / 330 to 120 / 360.
  • Buffed body's contact damage from 75 / 120 to 95 / 152.
  • Now uses its own laser projectiles instead of The Devourer of Gods' Nebula Shots.
  • Increased laser spread.
  • Now has a limit of 6 free Astrum Deus Probes instead of 3.
  • Buffed Astrum Deus Probe variant 1 and 2's contact damages from 75 / 105 to 95 / 133.
  • Astrum Deus Probe variant 2 now fires a mine every 3 seconds instead of 5.
  • Buffed free Astrum Deus Probe's contact damage from 50 / 70 to 80 / 112.
  • Can now drop Hallowed Keys.

Bumblebirb[]

  • Buffed health from 190,000 / 285,000 to 350,000 / 525,000, nerfed its base contact damage from 400 / 600 to 350 / 525, and nerfed its dash's damage from 26,640 / 39,960 to 350 / 525.
  • Buffed clone health from 30,000 / 45,000 to 70,000 / 105,000, and their contact damage from 225 / 337 to 250 / 375.
  • Clones no longer drop any money or global NPC drops such as Biome Keys.

Ceaseless Void[]

  • Dark Energies now gain 100% knockback resistance when below 33% health.
  • Nerfed Dark Energy variant 3's base knockback resistance from 85% to 70%.

Cryogen[]

  • Buffed Ice Blast damage from 48 / 80 to 56 / 88.
  • Buffed Ice Rain damage from 36 / 60 to 44 / 68.
  • Can now drop Frozen Keys.

The Destroyer[]

  • Body segments now fire lasers more often as its health lowers in Revengeance Mode.
  • Frost beams now inflict Glacial State.
  • Now takes 16.67% damage from Bee Cloak, Holy Arrows, Star Cloak, and Star Veil stars instead of 33% in Revengeance Mode.
  • Now forces all projectiles to penetrate at most 2 times instead of 3 in Revengeance Mode.

The Devourer of Gods[]

  • Nerfed health from 650,000 / 1,040,000 / 1,120,000 to 610,000 / 976,000 / 1,000,000.
  • Removed DPS cap.
  • Increased health of the second Devourer of Gods.
  • "Nothing personal, kid", and buffed seasonal moon status messages now have periods.

Eye of Cthulhu[]

  • Now increases Stress by 6 instead of 5 if it hasn't been defeated prior.

Golem[]

  • Staus messages now have periods.

Jungle Dragon, Yharon[]

  • Nerfed health from 1,150,000 / 1,840,000 / 2,080,000 to 780,000 / 1,248,000 / 1,280,000, buffed his contact damage from 450 / 720 to 500 / 800, and nerfed his defense from 260 to 200.
  • Now gains a new phase after defeating a buffed Mothron which activates once Yharon reaches 3% health. Yharon will gradually heal to 50% health and gain a new set of attacks.
  • Increased the amount of health needed for Yharon to transition to another phase.
  • Flarenadoes are now larger, and last for 5 seconds instead of 10.
  • Infernadoes are now larger, and last for 5 seconds instead of 6.67.
  • Giga Flares now last for 5 seconds and no longer spawn Phoenix Fire on death.
  • Now takes up 40 NPC slots instead of 20.
  • Removed DPS cap.
  • Buffed Solar Eclipse status message now has a period.

Lunatic Cultist[]

  • Nerfed Revengeance Mode health multiplier from 15x to 8x.
  • Decreased player damage taken multiplier from 1.5x to 1.39x.

Moon Lord[]

  • Core now has a 1.3x health multiplier in Revengeance Mode.
  • Hand and forehead eyes now have a 1.2x health multiplier in Revengeance Mode.
  • All parts are no longer affected by Stress' illusion effect.
  • Now causes the player to take 1.25x damage from all sources while active.
  • Curse of the Eldritch status message now has a period.

The Plaguebringer Goliath[]

  • No longer rains down a shower of missiles when despawning if lead out of the Jungle.
  • Now able to spawn Plague Mines in Revengeance Mode when spawning enemies.
  • Stronger stingers are now fired half as often.
  • Stronger stingers are now faster and last for 20 seconds instead of 10.
  • Stingers are now smaller and no longer produce dust.

Plantera[]

  • Can now drop Jungle Keys.
  • Leviathan status message now has a period.

Polterghast[]

  • Nerfed health from 465,000 / 744,000 / 800,000 to 335,000 / 536,000 / 560,000.
  • No longer has a DPS cap.
  • Tweaked specialized damage resistance formula.

Profaned Guardians[]

  • Nerfed the main guardian's health from 120,000 / 192,000 to 80,000 / 128,000, buffed its contact damage from 130 / 208 to 140 / 224, and nerfed its defense from 88 to 50.
  • Nerfed the defense guardian's health from 50,000 / 70,000 to 30,000 / 42,000, and its defense from 88 to 40.
  • Nerfed the healer guardian's health from 34,000 / 47,600 to 20,000 / 28,000, its contact damage from 110 / 154 to 90 / 126, and its defense from 88 to 25.
  • Healer guardian's orbs now last for 5 seconds instead of 10.

Providence, the Profaned God[]

  • Nerfed health from 270,000 / 432,000 / 480,000 to 235,000 / 376,000 / 400,000, and her defense from 120 to 50.
  • Added a new phase where Providence enters her cocoon stage and will shoot out Holy Spears towards the player while more Holy Spears spawn nearby and move horizontally.
  • Decreased contact damage boosts based on guardians alive.
  • Now inflicts Holy Inferno onto players far enough away from her.
  • Now takes up 35 NPC slots instead of 20.
  • Tweaked specialized damage resistance formula.
  • Removed DPS cap.
  • Nerfed offensive guardian's health from 70,000 / 98,000 to 50,000 / 70,000, and its defense from 58 to 30.
  • Nerfed defense guardian's health from 50,000 / 70,000 to 40,000 / 56,000, and its defense from 88 to 40.
  • Nerfed healer guardian's health from 30,000 / 42,000 to 20,000 / 28,000, and its defense from 38 to 30.
  • Guardian negative healing orbs now last for 5 seconds instead of 10.
  • Guardians now despawn if Providence is defeated or despawns.
  • Reduced the coin drop amounts for each guardian from 10 Gold Coin each to 5 Gold Coin each.
  • Buffed Dungeon status message now has a period.

Ravager[]

  • Nerfed free head's health from 5000 to 100, and its defense from 99,999 to 0.
  • Free head is now invincible.
  • Body now uses NPCHit8 for its hit sound instead of NPCHit4.
  • Claws now detach after being killed and will attempt to ram into the player.

Siren and Leviathan[]

  • Nerfed The Leviathan's health from 88,000 to 72,000.
  • Buffed The Siren's health from 21,000 / 33,600 / 40,000 to 30,000 / 48,000 / 52,800.

Supreme Calamitas[]

  • Nerfed health from 2,500,000 / 4,000,000 / 4,320,000 to 1,400,000 / 2,240,000 / 2,400,000, and her contact damage from 800 / 1280 to 300 / 480.
  • Buffed Brimstone Hellblast damage from 220 to 300.
  • Changed Brimstone Fireblast, Barrage, and Giga Blast damages from 320 / 600 to 360 / 500, and they are now fired twice as often.
  • Completely overhauled the fight.
    • Supreme Calamitas will now summon two large tornadoes at a somewhat far horizontal distance from the player.
    • The fight now consists of several bullet hell segments where Supreme Calamitas becomes invincible and various projectiles are shot from offscreen with different types spawning during each segment. In between these segments, Supreme Calamitas uses her old behavior of directly shooting different projectiles at the player and occasionally charging.
  • All projectiles now have a red color filter.
  • Brimstone Barrage projectiles are now slower, last for 5 seconds instead of 10, and can pass through blocks.
  • Increased Brimstone Hellblast speed.
  • No longer has a DPS cap.
  • Now has dialogue upon defeating her depending on if she is killed in Normal or Expert Mode.
  • Tweaked specialized damage resistance formula.
  • Now takes up 50 NPC slots instead of 15.
  • Can no longer despawn unless all players have been killed.
  • Brother changes:
    • Nerfed health from 500,000 to 300,000 / 480,000, and defense from 99,999 to 150.
    • Nerfed diagonal Brimstone Hellblast damage from 280 / 480 to 250 / 360, and verticle Brimstone Hellblast damage from 480 to 400.
    • No longer instantly despawn if Supreme Calamitas is defeated or despawns.
    • No longer inflict Vulnerability Hex on contact.
    • No longer shoot more often as Supreme Calamitas' health lowers, but have an increased base fire rate.
  • Soul Seeker changes:
    • Nerfed health from 100,000 / 140,000 to 10,000 / 14,000, its contact damage from 300 / 420 to 150 / 210, and its defense from 250 to 100.
    • Can now be homed in on.
    • Now summoned once Supreme Calamitas reaches 20% health instead of 25%.
    • 20 are now spawned instead of 41.

    • Buffed health from 8000 / 11,200 to 27,000 / 37,800.
    • Now naturally spawn in the Jungle after Golem has been defeated.
    • No longer have a transparency filter.
    • Now take up 8 NPC slots instead of 1.

Items[]

  • Ataxia armor's on hit explosions now hit every 8 frames instead of setting target immunity frames to 6.
  • Melee Ataxia armor's flames now hit every 6 frames instead of setting target immunity frames to 4.
  • Changed the final line of Elemental Gauntlet's tooltip from "Normal enemies will sometimes die instantly when critically hit with a melee weapon" to "Melee attacks have a chance to instantly kill normal enemies".
  • Nerfed Nebulous Core's damage and critical strike chance boosts from 20% to 10%.
  • Revengeance's tooltip now mentions Stress.
  • The Sponge's tooltip now mentions that it grants the wearer 30 health and mana.
  • Stress Pills now reduce stress damage by 4 instead of 8.
  • Buffed Victide Breastplate's defense from 4 to 5.
  • Yharim's Stimulants now increase damage reduction by 5% instead of 6%.

Weapons[]

  • All Legendary weapons no longer have damage and knockback that increases after certain bosses are defeated, and their right click abilities are no longer nerfed before a certain boss is defeated.
  • Aegis Blade changes:
    • Buffed damage from 9 to 37, buffed its knockback from 3.25 to 4.25.
    • No longer spawns sparks on true melee strikes.
    • Blast now lasts for 1.5 seconds instead of 2, and hits every 15 frames instead of a base of 10.
  • Nerfed Alluvion's damage from 140 to 55.
  • Nerfed Alpha Ray's damage from 125 to 38, and gave it the Rarity Level: 14 rarity instead of Rarity Level: 13.
  • Nerfed Animus' random damage values from 2000, 4000, 8000, 16,000, and 36,000 to 1500, 2000, 4000, 8000, and 18,000 respectively.
  • Nerfed Apoctosis Array's damage from 99 to 75.
  • Nerfed Ark of the Cosmos' damage from 380 to 250, and removed its random star damage.
  • Nerfed Ark of the Elements' damage from 210 to 125.
  • Buffed Arterial Assault's shot speed from 22 to 33.
  • Nerfed Asteroid Staff's damage from 200 to 80.
  • Nerfed Astreal Defeat's damage from 142 to 93.
  • Nerfed Augur of the Elements' damage from 105 to 60, and gave it the Rarity Level: 12 rarity instead of Rarity Level: 10.
  • Nerfed Azathoth's damage from 250 to 80, and its increased the yoyo projectile's speed.
  • Baleful Harvester's fire orbs are now invisible aside from the dust they produce.
  • Nerfed Banshee Hook's damage from 210 to 105.
  • Nerfed Blissful Bombardier's damage from 200 to 60.
  • Bloodfire Arrows now heal the player for 1 health instead of 2.
  • Buffed Blossom Flux's damage from 2 to 16, its Spore Bombs now deal 8x the weapon's damage instead of 5x, and increased their knockback from 5 to 60.
  • Nerfed Brimrose Staff's damage from 32 to 27.
  • Buffed Briny Baron's damage from 10 to 55, its left click use time from 29 to 19, its right click use time from 29 to 14, but its Razorwind Blades now deal 34% of the weapon's damage instead of 64%.
  • Nerfed The Burning Sky's damage from 140 to 90.
  • Buffed Charged Dart Blaster's damage from 100 to 120, and added 5 Vortex Fragments to its recipe.
  • Nerfed Chicken Cannon's damage from 160 to 30, and its rockets now pierce 1 time instead of 5.
  • Buffed Claret Cannon's shoot speed from 12 to 24, but its bullets now heal the player for 1 health instead of 2.
  • Nerfed Cleansing Blaze's damage from 242 to 130.
  • Nerfed Clockwork Bow's damage from 135 to 120.

  • Nerfed Vehemence's damage from 10 to 7, its projectile is now faster, and capped its damage at 500,000 instead of 1,000,000.
  • Buffed Venusian Trident's damage from 155 to 180, and increased its shoot speed from 15 to 19.
  • Buffed Vesuvius' damage from 11 to 35, but nerfed its use time from 11 to 20.

Other[]

  • Talking to the Nurse in Revengeance Mode no longer inflicts the player with Oozed, and now spawns one of The Leviathan's meteors on top of the player, dealing 200,000 / 400,000 damage.
  • Stress level 400 no longer causes the player to fall off Ropes, and now causes several debuffs of varying times.
