The 1.2.4.002 update made a lot of changes to vanilla bosses in Calamity's difficulty modes, made some bosses more aggressive, and slightly reworked the Cryogen and Bumblebirb fights.

Changes[]

Bosses[]

Astrageldon Slime[]

  • Nerfed Godseeker Mode Revengeance Mode health from 1,800,000 to 800,000.
  • Buffed post-Moon Lord Revengeance Mode laser damage from 630 to 6300.

Brain of Cthulhu[]

  • Buffed Brain of Cthulhu's health modifier from 1.5x to 1.8x.
  • Lowered Brain of Cthulhu's knockback resistance.

Brimstone Elemental[]

  • Increased damage during enrage by 33%.
  • Enrage now causes her to cycle through her phases much faster, and shoot barrages in quicker succession.

Bumblebirb[]

  • Nerfed the main Bumblebirb's health from 350,000 / 525,000 / 600,000 / 750,000 to 250,000 / 375,000 / 450,000 / 525,000, but buffed its contact damage from 350 / 525 / 551 / 787 to 400 / 600 / 630 / 900.
  • Buffed clone damage from 250 / 375 to 300 / 450.
  • Now switches between phases more often.
  • Now spawns clones much more often.
  • Now charges less often.
  • Clones can no longer spawn mores clones.
  • Greatly increased speed on clones.

Calamitas[]

  • Buffed phase 2's health from 19,000 / 30,400 / 34,400 / 40,000 to 27,000 / 43,200 / 48,000 / 56,000.
  • Increased the brothers' charging speeds.
  • Buffed Soul Seeker's health from 2500 / 4000 to 7500 / 12,000.

Crabulon[]

  • Nerfed health from 5000 / 8000 / 9600 / 13,600 to 3800 / 6080 / 7200 / 8800.

Cryogen[]

  • Buffed health from 13,500 / 21,600 / 24,000 / 32,000 to 22,500 / 36,000 / 40,000 / 44,800.
  • Buffed Cryogen's Shield's health from 500 / 600 to 2000 / 2000.
  • Buffed Aurora Spirit's health from 180 / 252 to 360 / 504.
  • Buffed the normal variant of the Cryocore's health from 200 / 280 to 400 / 560.
  • Buffed the buffed variant of the Cryocore's health from 250 / 350 to 500 / 700.
  • Replaced Cryogen's phase 5 where it spins in place while firing frost bolt barrages, ice shards, and star-shaped frost bolt patterns, while also summoning Cryocores and Aurora Spirits. Now Cryogen teleports near the player from time to time while continuing its other attacks.
  • Cryogen's Shield now fires extra ice blasts in addition to Cryogen's.
  • Cryocores and Aurora Spirits now spawn in pairs randomly instead of in large groups upon phase transitions.
  • Reduced dust idly spawned from both Cryogen's Shield and Cryogen itself.

Desert Scourge[]

  • Buffed head damage in Death Mode from 99 to 121.
  • Now only takes 65% damage from Molotov Cocktail flares in Expert Mode.
  • Now only takes 20% damage from explosives in Expert Mode.
  • Can now periodically fire blasts of sand in Revengeance Mode.
  • Small Desert Scourges no longer drop Coins.
  • Now becomes invincible while outside of the Desert.

The Destroyer[]

  • Nerfed Death Mode health modifier from 1.6x to 1.2x, buffed its Death Mode damage modifier from 1.25x to 1.5x, and nerfed its health modifier in other modes from 1.3x to 1.1x.
  • The Destroyer now gains a 1.25x damage modifier in all modes.
  • Body now forces all projectiles which pierce more than twice to pierce twice.
  • Body in Death Mode now cuts all infinitely penetrating projectile damage by 75%, and any projectiles that pierce more than once have their damage divided by how many times they pierce.
  • Probes no longer drop hearts in Revengeance Mode.

The Devourer of Gods[]

  • Changed phase 1's health from 600,000 / 960,000 / 1,000,000 / 1,200,000 to 600,000 / 960,000 / 1,040,000 / 1,120,000.
  • Buffed phase 2's head damage from 600 / 960 to 750 / 1200.
  • Buffed phase 2's body damage from 300 / 480 to 375 / 600.
  • Renamed Another worm boss to Devourer of Thots.
  • Buffed Devourer of Thots' damage from 250 / 400 to 400 / 640.
  • Now starts shooting bolts at 90% health instead of 80%.
  • Now starts shooting star projectiles at 80% health instead of 60%.
  • Now starts shooting gravity bombs at 70% health instead of 40%.
  • Now starts shooting mines at 35% health instead of 20%.
  • Speed increased for both phases.
  • Devourer of Thots' speed increased.
  • The black screen shader is now applied at all times in Death Mode.

Duke Fishron[]

  • Nerfed Death Mode health modifier from 2.3x to 2.2x, and buffed its health modifier in other modes from 1.65x to 1.9x.
  • Sharkrons now gain a 30x health modifier in all modes.

Eater of Worlds[]

  • Head now reflects projectiles in Death Mode.
  • No longer resists Spears and projectiles which act like them, such as Arkhalis.
  • Buffed Death Mode health modifier from 1.25x to 1.35x.

Eye of Cthulhu[]

  • Buffed health modifier from 1.5x to 1.8x.

Golem[]

  • Nerfed Death Mode health modifier from 7x to 6x.

The Hive Mind[]

  • Nerfed phase 2's health from 4000 / 6400 / 8000 / 11,200 to 3000 / 4800 / 5760 / 7200.

Jungle Dragon, Yharon[]

  • Buffed contact damage from 600 / 960 to 650 / 1040.
  • Increased Yharim's Crystal's drop chance from 0.1% to 10%.

King Slime[]

  • Buffed health modifier from 1.4x to 1.7x.

THE LORDE[]

  • Now uses the Moon Lord's theme.

Moon Lord[]

  • Nerfed Core's Death Mode health modifier from 1.6x to 1.5x, and buffed its health modifier in other modes from 1.3x to 1.4x.
  • Nerfed Hand's Death Mode health modifier from 1.4x to 1.2x, and its health modifier in other modes from 1.2x to 1.1x.
  • Nerfed True Eye of Cthulhu's Revengeance Mode health modifier from 250% to 200%.
  • Now opens its forehead eye more often.

The Perforators[]

  • Increased the max time it takes for the Perforator Hive to shoot volleys of projectiles.
  • Buffed blood geyser damage from 30 / 48 / 50 / 67 to 44 / 60 / 63 / 84.
  • Worms now strictly spawn at every 30% of the Hive's health lost.
  • Worms no longer spawn directly from the Hive, and now spawn offscreen.
  • Worms' distance before flying decreased.
  • No longer spawns Perforator Minis.

The Plaguebringer Goliath[]

  • Plague nuke barrage can now occur upon spawning in Death Mode.
  • Plague nuke barrage now begins up to 5 seconds after its dedicated status message instead of up to 20.
  • Up to 4 Plague Mines can now spawn in Expert Mode, instead of 3 in Revengeance Mode.
  • Lowered the max amount of large Plague Chargers from 4 to 3.

Plantera[]

  • Buffed Death Mode health modifier from 1.8x to 2.6x, and its health modifier in other modes from 1.4x to 2.3x.

Providence, the Profaned God[]

  • Buffed health from 205,000 / 220,000 / 265,000 to 285,000 / 300,000 / 324,000.

Queen Bee[]

  • Buffed Death Mode health modifier from 1.5x to 1.9x, and its health modifier in other modes from 1.25x to 1.7x.

Signus, Envoy of the Devourer[]

  • Nerfed health in Death Mode from 512,000 to 480,000.
  • Nerfed Cosmic Lantern's health from 2000 / 2800 / 2940 / 4200 to 150 / 210 / 220 / 315.
  • Cosmic Lanterns now fade in and are invincible for a few seconds when spawning.
  • No longer spawns Cosmic Lanterns randomly when hurt, and now spawns them in columns of 5 on either side of the player during its charging phase.
  • Increased Cosmic Lantern limit from 5 to 10.
  • Dust explosions now last shorter.

Siren and Leviathan[]

  • Buffed the Leviathan's health from 52,000 / 83,200 / 88,000 / 104,000 to 79,000 / 126,400 / 140,800 / 152,000.
  • The Siren now cycles through phases quicker.
  • Reduced dust on the Siren when hit.
  • Siren Clones now have a 33% chance to fire frost mist as opposed to just water spears.
  • Frost mist now emits particles twice as often.

Skeletron[]

  • Nerfed Death Mode health modifier from 1.6x to 1.2x, and its health modifier in other modes from 1.3x to 1.1x.
  • Buffed Death Mode Skeletron's Hand's health modifier from 1.4x to 2.5x, and its health modifier in other modes from 1.2x to 2.2x.

Skeletron Prime[]

  • Nerfed health modifier from 1.15x to 1.1x.
  • Nerfed Prime Laser's health modifier from 1.3x to 1.2x.

The Slime God[]

  • Nerfed Core health from 1000 / 1600 / 2560 / 3520 to 800 / 1280 / 1600 / 2240.
  • Core now inflicts Marked for Death for 5 seconds instead of 3.
  • Core is now more aggressive.
  • Ebonian Slime God now fires abyss mines 2x more often.
  • Split Ebonian Slime God now fires mines 4x more often.
  • Crimulan Slime God now fires mines 3x more often.
  • Increased flying Corrupt Slime Spawn's velocity slightly.
  • Buffed flying Corrupt Slime Spawn's health from 50 / 70 to 300 / 420.
  • Buffed wingless Corrupt Slime Spawn's health from 70 / 98 to 120 / 168.
  • Buffed Crimson Slime Spawn's health from 70 / 98 to 200 / 280.
  • Buffed Spiked Crimson Slime Spawn's health from 140 / 196 to 250 / 350.

Storm Weaver[]

  • Now summons lightning orbs.
  • Nerfed armored Stasis Probe's health from 4000 / 5600 to 2000 / 2800.
  • Nerfed naked Stasis Probe's health from 5000 / 7000 to 2500 / 3500.
  • Reduced Stasis Probe cap from 10 to 3.

Supreme Calamitas[]

  • Increased Vulnerability Hex duration on contact from 5 seconds to 10.
  • No longer inflicts NO U in Death Mode.
  • Projectiles now inflict Vulnerability Hex.

    15 seconds after reaching 1% health after defeating her prior. "Whatever, you'll just take your loot and move on as always. Guess I'll keep fighting for Yharim then." "Perhaps one of these times I'll change my mind after all these deaths..."
    When reaching the hitcap. "You got hit too many times...you are very pro at dodging. Did you take lessons from Leviathan?" "You got hit too many times...noice. Did you take lessons from Leviathan?"

  • The Twins[]

    • Buffed the health modifier for both eyes from 1.3x to 1.4x.

    Wall of Flesh[]

    • Increased speed in Revengeance and Death Mode.
    • Reduced laser frequency in Revengeance and Death Mode.
    • Nerfed Death Mode health modifier from 2.5x to 2.2x.
    • Nerfed Death Mode The Hungry II's health modifier from 3.5x to 3.1x.
    • Buffed Death Mode Leech's health modifier from 2.5x to 3.5x, and its health modifier in other modes from 2.1x to 3.1x.

    Items[]

    • Apotheosis now includes 2 Excelsuses and 77 Phantoplasm in its recipe.
    • Apotheosis now inflicts Armor Crunch for 10 seconds.
    • Cosmic Immaterializer now requires 12 minion slots to use instead of 8.
    • Crystal Bullets now only do 12.5% damage in Revengeance Mode instead of 16.67%.
    • Floodtide can now be obtained 3x more commonly from fishing.
    • Nerfed Helstorm's damage from 27 to 24.
    • Icebreaker can now only last for 2 seconds instead of 5.
    • Buffed Megalodon's damage from 29 to 32.
    • Nerfed Superball Bullet's damage from 10 to 6.
    • Superball Bullets now pierce 5 times instead of 7.
    • Terra Arrows and Terra Bullets now emit less dust.
    • Removed the line, "It's basically cheating top kek lel" from Yharim's Crystal.
    • Yharim's Crystal's name whitelist changes:
      • Grox, Vlad, Spoopyro, and Echo are no longer whitelisted.
      • Grox the Great, MineCat, gamagamer64, and Leviathan are now whitelisted.
    • Yharim's Crystal can no longer drop from any enemy.
    • Nerfed Yharon's Kindle Staff's damage from 300 to 250.

    Other[]

    • Put a max damage boost cap of 75% (100% when wearing Demonshade armor) on players in Revengeance and Death Mode.
    • Put a max critical strike chance boost of 75% on players in Revengeance and Death Mode.

    Fixes[]

    • Fixed a multiplayer desync bug with Astrum Deus.
    • Fixed a sheeting error on Brimstone Elemental.
    • Fixed a sheeting error on Xeroc Wings.
    • Fixed a bug with Calamity's dashing accessories which prevented the player from dashing again if they held the movement key down after dashing.
    • Fixed a bug where the damage reduction cap wasn't taking certain Accessories and Buffs into account.
    • Fixed a bug where Perforator worms would sometimes attach heads to each other.
