The 1.4.0.001 update expanded the Astral Meteor into a full biome known as the Astral Infection. It also reworked Astrageldon Slime into Astrum Aureus, added two new Town NPCs, made a large amount of accessory nerfs, and added the Boss Rush event.

Aquatic Scourge

  • Buffed health from 73,000 / 116,800 / 129,600 / 152,000 to 73,000 / 116,800 / 136,000 / 160,000.
  • Now drops Sulphurous Sand.

Astrum Aureus

  • Stats:
    • Nerfed its health from 61,000 / 97,600 / 129,720 / 188,600 to 51,000 / 81,600 / 104,120 / 161,400, bufffed its contact damage from 10 / 16 to 70 / 112, and buffed its defense from 0 to 120.
  • AI:
    • No longer jumps at all times.
    • Now shoots blasts of lasers in succession instead of shooting a blast of fireballs after every few jumps.
    • Now shoots homing crystals in multiple directions instead of fireballs.
    • Now spawns Aureus Spawns occasionally in Revengeance Mode and higher.
    • Will now occasionally attempt to jump onto the player.
    • Will now occasionally teleport above the player.
  • Other:
    • Now uses a custom hurt sound.
    • Now has a unique sound when landing on tiles.
    • No longer has transparency.

Astrum Deus

  • Buffed main worm's health from 25,000 / 40,000 / 54,000 / 82,0000 to 25,000 / 40,000 / 57,360 / 86,000.
  • Buffed smaller worm health from 8000 / 12,800 / 17,280 / 26,240 to 8000 / 12,800 / 19,200 / 26,240.
  • Damage dealt to the body segments of both the small worms and large one are now reduced by 70% instead of 50% when said worm is below 33% health.
  • The body segments of both the small and large worms no longer force projectiles to penetrate once when under 33% health.
  • Now drops Stardust.

  • Lowered phase 2's fireball fire rate.

Calamitas

The Devourer of Gods

  • The Devourer of Gods now spawns 10 seconds after Signus has been defeated instead of 1 second.
  • The sentinels now spawn 2 minutes after one another if the current one hasn't been killed yet instead of 10 minutes.
  • Now drops Cosmilite Bricks in phase 2.

Duke Fishron

  • Now transitions into phase 3 upon reaching 33% health instead of 20% in Revengeance Mode.

Eater of Worlds

  • Lowered projectile fire rates in Revengeance Mode.

Eye of Cthulhu

  • Now starts rapidly charging upon reaching 50% health instead of 25% health in Revengeance Mode.
  • Now transitions into phase 2 upon reaching 90% health instead of 80% in Death Mode.

Golem

  • Buffed health multiplier from 3x / 8x to 3.5x / 8.5x.

The Hive Mind

Jungle Dragon, Yharon

  • Angery Flame's aggressiveness no longer scales with Yharon's health.
  • Angery Flame now fires projectiles 3x more often.
  • Removed upward homing fireballs.
  • Now has a limit of 4 Bumblebirbs instead of 2 and can spawn them in phase 2.
  • Reduced randomness of Yharon's flare dust's speed.
  • Adjusted various projectile rates and velocities.
  • Now heals quicker.
  • Now has custom roars.
  • Now has a 100% chance to drop Terminus in phase 2.
  • Anti-butcher now triggers if an attack would take 10% of Yharon's health instead of 4%.
  • Bumblebirbs are now less aggressive, but now have higher overall speed.

King Slime

  • Lowered aggressiveness in Revengeance Mode.

Lunatic Cultist

  • Mechanics:
    • Removed Supreme Calamitas' hit cap.
    • Can no longer be targeted while her brothers are alive.
    • No longer deals contact damage during bullet hells and when under 1% life.
  • Player nerfs:
    • Now attempts to force all damage dealt to the player to deal at least 300 damage instead of 200.
    • Supreme Calamitas now instantly kills the player if a hit deals 100 or less damage to them in Revengeance Mode or higher.
    • No longer cuts the player's life regeneration.
    • No longer disables Shadow Dodge.
    • Anti-butcher now triggers if an attack would take 10% of Supreme Calamitas' health instead of 4%.
  • Servants:
    • Buffed Supreme Cataclysm and Supreme Catastrophe's Brimstone Hellbast damage from 300 / 480 to 400 / 600.
    • Buffed Sepulcher and Supreme Soul Seeker's Brimstone Barrage damage from 300 / 480 to 400 / 600.
    • Decreased the distance that Supreme Soul Seekers float away from Supreme Calamitas.
    • Supreme Calamitas' servants now despawn if she isn't alive.
  • Other:
    • Replaced Now Stop Asking Where with Stained Brutal Calamity as her theme.
      • Now has a unique theme when under 1% life.
    • Reduced spin speed when transitioning to phase 2.
    • Reaplced the "my lord" in Supreme Calamitas' 2% health line with "he".
    • Removed the "trollface.png" from Supreme Calamitas' low damage message.

The Twins

  • Buffed Spazmatism's health multiplier from 1.45x / 1.7x to 1.55x / 1.8x.
  • Lowered projectile fire rates in Revengeance Mode.

Wall of Flesh

  • Buffed health multiplier from 1.65x / 2.2x to 1.75x / 2.3x.

Enemies

  • All enemies with damage resistance have had their damage resistances decreased by 5%.
  • Tweaked ???'s lighting.
  • Angry Dog now uses custom idle and hurt sounds.
  • Astral Probes now use a custom hurt sound and spawn more often.
  • Astral Slime changes:
    • Nerfed its health from 90 / 180 to 310 / 620, buffed its damage from 40 / 80 to 65 / 130 and lowered its defense from 20 to 18.
    • Now has slight transparency.
    • No longer immune to Lava.
    • No longer drops Stardust.
    • No longer inflicts God Slayer Inferno after Astrum Deus has been defeated.
    • Now spawn more often.
  • Reworked Cryon:
    • Buffed health from 150 / 300 to 300 / 600, and its damage from 18 / 36 to 42 / 84.
    • No longer has knockback resistance.
    • Now jumps and charges towards the player instead of using the Fighter AI.
  • Buffed Great Sand Shark's health from 8000 / 12,800 / 16,000 / 22,400 to 8000 / 12,800 / 17,600 / 25,600.
  • Great Sand Shark now has a unique roar instead of using Mauler's.
  • Sunskater now uses a custom death sound.

Armor and Accessories

  • Removed the "-like" from "Honey-like" in Ambrosial Ampoule, Honey Dew, and The Sponge's tooltips.
  • Abyssal Diving Suit now lets the player breath infinitely when submerged in non-Abyss Water.
  • Reworked Bloodflare armor's magic set bonus:
    • No longer grants the player small damage boosts on critical strikes.
    • Critical strikes now cause small flame explosions.
  • The player will now be instantly killed if they touch Lava while the Burden Breaker is equipped.
  • Counter Scarf's boost now buffs the damage and critical strike chances for all damage types instead of just melee.
  • Counter Scarf's cooldown duration is now double if the player has Chaos State and the world is in at least Revengeance Mode.
  • Changed the line "Throwing projectiles split into crystal shards on enemy hits" to "Throwing projectiles throw out crystal shards as they travel" on Daedalus armor's throwing set bonus' tooltip.
  • Demonshade armor's set bonus now makes the player immune to the damage and critical strike chance caps, and allows the player to hit a specific key to apply the Enraged buff to themselves and enemies, causing enemies to take 3x more damage, but at the cost of them dealing 50% more damage.
  • Dimensional Soul Artifact, Eldritch Soul Artifact, and Godly Soul Artifact now have tooltips detailing their functions.
  • God Slayer armor and Auric Tesla armor's set bonus now makes attacks which deal 80 or less damage deal 1 damage instead of nullifying it completely.
  • lul now also requires there to be one or less Town NPCs to provide the player invincibility.
  • Heart of the Elements now grants the player increased stats if its visibility is toggled off.
  • Condensed all of Heart of the Elements' buffs into a single buff.
  • Increased the amount of times Raider's Talisman's effect can stack from 50 to 250.
  • Changed the line "Enemies are less likely to target you" in all of Tarragon armor's set bonuses aside from melee to "Reduces enemy spawn rates".
  • Reworked Tarragon armor's ranged set bonus:
    • No longer grants the player small damage boosts on critical strikes.
    • Critical strikes now cause explosions of leaves.

  • Immunity frames are now capped at 2 seconds in Revengeance Mode and higher.
  • Replaced the Alchemy Table in the Main Planetoid with a Chest containing various Planter Boxes.
