Ancient Crusher
The Ancient Crusher is a craftable Hardmode melee weapon. When enemies are hit, it creates spikes that deal additional damage for a few seconds. The spikes appear wherever the enemy was hit, making this more effective on stationary or slow-moving targets.
The Ancient Crusher also has a rare item variant called the Evil Smasher that drops from Basilisks.
Its best modifier is Legendary.
