The Detonating Flame is a Post-Moon Lord boss servant which spawns during the Jungle Dragon, Yharon fight. There are 2 variants.

The fireball variant aggressively flies toward the player and occasionally shoots a fireball that inflicts the On Fire! debuff. It is spawned in Yharon's subphases 1 and 3.

The melee variant flies toward the player more slowly than the fireball variant. It deals more contact damage but does not shoot. It inflicts the Marked debuff in Revengeance Mode. It is spawned in Yharon's subphases 2 and 3.

Both variants are summoned in all subphases of phase 2 after Yharon flies in a loop and summons a ring of Homing Flare DustsHoming Flare Dusts.

  • Up to 3 of each Detonating Flame variant can be spawned at a time in Yharon's fight in Phase 1.
  • Up to 4 of each variant can be spawned at a time in Phase 2.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • In previous versions of the mod, a Phase 2 exclusive variant known as the Angery Flame spawned. Originally Expert Mode exclusive, it was then pushed to Revengeance Mode exclusive, then Death Mode exclusive, before finally being removed. It fired fireballs toward the player and increased in fire rate as Yharon's health dropped. It also released homing flare dust as it flew around.
    • The Angery Flame was removed to put more of an emphasis on dodging Yharon rather than a slew of projectiles.
