• Due to how the fishing catch chance is coded, the chance to catch the Brimstone Fish depends on a few variables:
  • The base chance is 40%:
    • If the player is under the effects of a Crate Potion, subtract 10%
    • If the player has not yet killed Providence, add 10%
    • If the world is in Pre-Hardmode, add 11%
