The Guidelight of Oblivion is a post-Moon Lord sentry dropped by Signus, Envoy of the Devourer. It is the rare variant of the Cosmilamp. It summons a soul lantern that floats up and down near the location it was summoned. The lantern summons red flames around it which home in on enemies, travel through tiles, and explode upon contact, inflicting the Brimstone Flames debuff for three seconds.
Its best modifier is Ruthless. The Mythical modifier provides the widest array of stat bonuses, but these primarily affect the initial summon rather than the resulting minion. Additionally, minions cannot deal critical hits. The only lasting advantage a Mythical Guidelight of Oblivion has over a Ruthless one is knockback.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- The weapon's appearance is a reference to the Grimmkin Novices from Hollow Knight.
- The flavor text in its tooltip is quoted from the Grimmkin Novices' journal entry.
