Prepare to Die and Prepare to Cry were gamemodes that have been replaced by Revengeance Mode and Death Mode. Prepare to Die was accessable by activating either the Demon Trophy or Celestial Onion, and Prepare to Cry were accessed by having both items active simultaneously.
Boss changes[]
In Prepare to Die and Prepare to Cry:
- King Slime, Queen Bee, and Wall of Flesh's Eyes had more difficult AIs.
- The Eye of Cthulhu and Plantera became more aggressive as their health lowered.
- Damage dealt to the Eater of Worlds was divided by the weapon's piercing, or divided by 5 if infinite.
In Prepare to Die and Prepare to Cry (Expert Mode):
- The maximum piercing that weapons could deal to The Destroyer was 3.
- Skeletron Prime became more aggressive as its health lowered.
- Prime Cannon's cannonballs did not have to hit the ground to hurt the player.
- Golem's fists did not take damage.
