Regarding the reversion you made to my edit to the Music page, I'm fairly sure that wiki standard is to make page links go directly to the intended source; redirects (if I am recalling correctly) should exist solely for the purposes of users searching for articles via alternate names, or for temporary pagename transitions.
Regardless of the standard on other Wikis, we've never had such a policy to my knowledge. There are a couple of reasons why we've never enforced it. It saves some text; consider how much easier it is to write 'Providence' than 'Providence, the Profaned Goddess|Providence' each time. It also saves potential future effort when pages are moved, since all we need to do is move the redirect target and all the links would work again, rather than having to painstakingly go and change every instance of 'Providence, the Profaned God|Providence' to 'Providence, the Profaned Goddess' for example.
Hi, my friend and I have just been playing the new Draedon update and we are interested in creating some GIFs/Videos for some of the weapons on the wiki. We did a test today trying to figure some things out on the 'biome blade' page and you deleted the video. Obviously, I don't mind that you deleted it. You're clearly much more experienced than the both of us. So we are wondering if we could have some permission to edit and some guidance on editing the wiki. Hopefully, we can help out a little. OS&C
Howdy, just wanted to get back to you. I realized if I didn't notice you where talking on my page, you probably wouldn't notice I replied to you. My apologies. I assume I made the category name too vague, but the "Renewable Item" category is present to document items that are, well, renewable. I'm attempting to apply 1.3 standards to this, so no dirt or stone. Sorry if the category is unnecessary!
Where should I put the tip about using Laudanum against the Brain of Cthulhu? I was going to put it on the guide page like you said to, but the vanilla bosses don’t seem to have guides on the wiki.
I was really just wondering if the Nullification Pistol was based on/around this animation series called "Glitchtale"? because the character that uses it actually takes a bit of her soul each time she uses it. which can, in turn, disintegrate her. Like what the death message mentioned.
Sorry for asking you this, I am most likely just overthinking it. (I do that alot)
Assuming you mean the 'Terra weapons' page I deleted earlier today, it was deleted because it was incredibly low effort and the page was not needed in the first place.
The Soul Edge sword should be in the Hardmode section, not the Post-Moon Lord section, because you can get it before any mechanical bosses are defeated.
a lot of items can be obtained before they naturally should. For example, all Leviathan weapons are listed as Hardmode despite being available at the beginning of the game. The wiki identifies them at when they are intended to be obtained, with sequence breaking excluded. This logic applies to Soul Edge which is intended to be obtained post-Polterghast.
Why don't we put old lore on the wiki to help others understand the terraria calamity community more with a true example being crabulon so that there is less communication? And why so even when it is marked as old lore?
Aside from the Community modifications page, the Wiki has no relation to the community and purely seeks to document the mod itself. Therefore, 'understanding the Calamity community more' is an irrelevant benefit (if it can even be called that).
Old lore is no longer associated with the mod, so there is no need for us to document it. It is essentially on the same level as Calamity fanfiction, with the caveat that it used to be official in the past.
Trivia has to be factual. What you were adding is a matter of opinion, and some may even say it's demonstrably false. Either way, it does not belong on the Wiki and you re-added it even after another editor reverted the edit and told you not to do that.
You don't need to tell me you've made a comment there. Every edit gets looked at by at least one admin so just be patient and you'll get a response. For the record, I responded there before noticing this comment anyway.
"Every edit gets looked at by at least one admin so just be patient and you'll get a response."
Actually, no. I recently changed my comment there which was made... about 2 weeks ago. So if 2 weeks is being patient (in your opinion), fine.
That was my fault actually. I patrolled the edit but must've forgotten to reply, sorry about that.
If you're looking to continue contributing, I'd recommend joining the Discord and asking for the Wiki Contributor role so you can discuss edits there, rather than on the Wiki.
Sorry for messing up that entry on crystl crusher, I'm new and I wanted to make a contribution. If I did something wrong, please tell me. I hope I dindnt mess anything up too bad. :/
Don't be disheartened, everybody makes mistakes. If you're interested in continuing to contribute, I'd recommend joining the Official Calamity Mod Discord server and asking for the Wiki Contributor role. This gives you access to a channel to ask for help from fellow contributors and editors.
That's a good idea. If you want to do that, you should just remove the 'consumables' section and put the weapons currently in there, into the 'others' section instead, then label all consumable weapons.
It's fine, don't worry. If you'd like more guidance and are interested in continuing to edit, you can join the Discord and ask for Wiki Contrubitor to give you access to a channel to talk to fellow editors and ask for help about source editing.
uhm the calamity thing with hadarian where you like edited mine uhm i just wanted to say that i havent found a hadarian in my whole playthrough (all bosses) so wow am i unlucky
Just wanted to thank you for fixing the link to Moon Phases I added on the Cosmolight page. Kind of new to editing pages myself, and I didn't notice the incorrect URL I used, That's all, thanks again!
You're welcome. If you want to get some help with editing, you can join the Official Calamity Mod Discord and ask a Moderator+ for the Wiki Contributor role, which gives you access to a channel where you can talk with other contributors and editors about editing the Wiki.
Hey there! I'm a Community Manager here at Gamepedia and I wanted to say thanks for all the work you do. I'd love to buy you a game or send you some swag. If you're up for it email me at editor_rewards@fandom.com or hit me on Discord HeyTots#1127
Go ahead and correct me if I'm wrong, but these are the individual reasons I changed each one:
Lumenous Amulet - Crafted at Hardmode Anvil
Celestial Jewel - Crafted at Ancient Manipultor
Frost Barrier - Dropped from Ice Claspers, which are hardmode enemies
Fungal Carapace - Dropped from Anomura Fungus
I did do a double check after you changed them back and realized that I was wrong about the Fungal Carapace and the Frost Barrier, I misunderstood part of the wiki page and now I know that Anomura Fungus can spawn in prehardmode. As for the Frost Barrier, the accessories page only mentioned the Ice Clasper drop, which is why I changed it.
Hey, so, I have a question, it may be stupid, but whatever. I've noticed that you've been changing some pages that I've created to say that they are post-Moon Lord items, when it's specific enough to say that they are post-Providence (because Providence must be defeated for Bloodstone to be dropped by some enemies, and Bloodstone Cores are what craft many of the items I have created pages for). I've seen that as sort of a needless change, is there any confusion on this subject?
As a general rule on the wiki, we try to keep to 'pre-hardmode', 'hardmode' and 'post-Moon Lord' as the three main 'phases' of the mod. If you want to specifically mention Providence, then don't put post-anything, just say they are only able to be dropped after Providence is defeated. Hope this clears it up.

I wish you were dead

I saw that, thanks. I replied on the original comment chain.

We have WIP boss pages in people's sandboxes and welcome any help to get them finished. You can find links to the relevant sandboxes here.

I'm not a dev, so I have no clue. My guess is that it would be very unlikely to be a reference.
No problem. Really appreciate it, thanks.
how was it spam?

The Soul Edge sword should be in the Hardmode section, not the Post-Moon Lord section, because you can get it before any mechanical bosses are defeated.
And don't forget people using other mods to supplement this one macros bots insanely skilled speed-runners etc.
Or people that don't know what give up means.

So shouldn't there be a marking that just says (technically) post-polterghost for clarification?
While it may be technically correct, it helps nobody and may actively confuse newer players who read the article, so we will not be changing it.

If it "seeks to document the mod" then why is there no where for the old lore to be documented?
Old lore is no longer associated with the mod, so there is no need for us to document it. It is essentially on the same level as Calamity fanfiction, with the caveat that it used to be official in the past.
hello temp i havent logged on in awhile but hello!
hi
Why, isn't that the point of trivia?

It is literally a bullet hell, fire, Duke Fishron though. They also didn't tell me I couldn't put it back. Sorry for trying to help new players.
Because you've reverted the last change: https://calamitymod.gamepedia.com/Guide_talk:Class_setups That page doesn't seem to be looked at often
You don't need to tell me you've made a comment there. Every edit gets looked at by at least one admin so just be patient and you'll get a response. For the record, I responded there before noticing this comment anyway.

hello i am back i had to eat dinner
also question do you work on developing calamity or no
I'm not a dev no. I just administrate the Wiki.

Thanks! Maybe will. Also,Do you think The Tale of a Cruel world is a bop? ( not the main song, the whole album.)
If so, whats ur fav song? Mine is Universal collapse.
Maybe we could be friends!
I'm wondering if it would be usefull to put an annotation next to the rogue weapons if they are consumable, what do you think?
That's a good idea. If you want to do that, you should just remove the 'consumables' section and put the weapons currently in there, into the 'others' section instead, then label all consumable weapons.
Still trying to figure out how source editing works on here exactly, I'm sorry I turned it into a bit of a mess

Unfortunately, yes. You were/are just unlucky.

Can you only upload certain gifs?
We discuss what gifs need to be uploaded/redone and what gifs aren't needed on that Discord.
i love bad internet posting two replies
I mean how do you get onto the calamity discord server thing because I can't find it.
There's a link on the front page of the Wiki. Just Ctrl-F 'Discord' if you can't find it.

I didn't revert your first two, which were completely correct. If I misclicked, feel free to change those back.
I noticed that, which is why I didn't feel the need to explain them. Thank you for correcting the ones I did get wrong though.
Technically the Murasama can be seen as a reference to the iconic FF7 weapon. Plus, I said it CAN be seen as a reference, not that it IS a reference.
As we don't have that part of the rules on this wiki due to the similarities, I'll just post these trivia rules here.
A trivia item should be undeniable for it to be listed on the page, and in this case, it was far from that.

Thanks, helped a lot! :)
Thanks for telling me, did not realize I was on an outdated version since I also downloaded the up to date version. It is all sorted out now.
No problem, hope to see you on the Recent Changes page soon. :)
