Superbosses are a unique form of Godseeker Mode bosses that the Calamity Mod adds to the game. All Superbosses are housed within the Epilogue point of progression. They are exceedingly difficult, boasting overwhelmingly high stats, mainly immense health and ludicrous amounts of damage. In certain cases Superbosses also represent a significant departure from Terraria's typical boss formula. Not all of the planned Superbosses have been introduced yet, and will be coming in the future.

The boss drops various Abysscent weapons and Esseric Scales. It is currently one of many Superbosses in the Calamity Mod and thus one of the mod's most challenging opponents so far. It is particularly known for destroying other creatures around it to heal itself, making the Esserwyrm extremely tough to fight.

Defeating this boss generates Stiriatic Ore in the Cavern Layer.

Astrageldon Slime
Astral Chunk

The Astrageldon Slime (Japanese: アストラゲルドン Asutoragerudon) was a massive astral-infected slime with 61,000 health (97,600 in Expert Mode, and 129,720 in Revengeance Mode), and was the predecessor boss to Astrum Aureus. It can be summoned at Night using the Astral Chunk. Despite being connected to the Astral Meteor biome, it could be summoned anywhere. It behaved similarly to most Slimes and attempted to leap towards the player. Its damage, defense, movement speed and firing speed increased significantly as its health lowered. The Astrageldon Slime itself was massive, roughly twice as big as King Slime. Like King Slime, it'd teleport near the player if the player got too far away.

It drops an abundance of Stardust, Fallen Stars and Astral Jelly. After Moon Lord has been defeated, it gains a major stat boost and drops the Suspicious Looking Jelly Bean mount, and also drops all four types of Lunar Fragments.

After the Moon Lord is defeated, all of its stats are buffed, except for its health which still raises to 640,000 total but only for Revengeance Mode, and all of its attacks are massively buffed regardless.

Abyssal Jewel does not spawn on its own and spawns in the Sky Abyss biome if the player uses the Expensive Jewelry.

THE LORDE[]

THE LORDE
SYNTAX ERROR

THE LORDE (Japanese: いやいやいやいやいや Iyaiya iyaiya iya) was a Godseeker Mode Superboss that is no longer available in the main mod but was made available again through the "Apotheosis and Friends" mod. It was and is to be considered one of, if not the most difficult though mainly unplayable Superboss in the Calamity Mod. It was summoned using NO (dropped by BOHLDOHRs after Supreme Calamitas was defeated), with a total of 25,000,000 health, ? in Expert Mode, and ? in Revengeance Mode. It is intended to be fought after every other boss and Superboss in this mod plus all related community-produced mods have been defeated.

Every single frame, its AI had a chance to change into another AI. All of the possible AIs it could change into were vanilla AIs. This also meant that it could potentially spawn other enemies, like boss minions, or even despawn due to how the AI works. While THE LORDE was alive, all damage that the player received would be multiplied by 6.9, and taking damage from any source would inflict the NO U debuff on the player, which completely disabled the player's armor and accessories. When THE LORDE's health fell to or below 500,000, it stopped taking damage from any attacks. This effect disappeared after 100 seconds, rendering it vulnerable again.

Upon his defeat, he dropped 2,000 Platinum Coins.
