"We expect you to turn in a perfect performance!"
The Boss Rush is a special event that is activated upon the use of Terminus. During the event, every vanilla and Calamity boss spawn sequentially in a predetermined order. The bosses summoned are far stronger than in their original fights and have immensely buffed HP and damage, giving them all similar difficulties despite their usual distance in the game's progression. The Boss Rush can be deactivated at any time by using Terminus again.
Defeating the Boss Rush rewards the player with the Rock.
Progression
Upon starting the Boss Rush, bosses will spawn in a predetermined order that never changes. Only one boss will spawn at a time; the next boss will spawn once the prior boss is defeated. A total of 39 bosses will spawn during the Boss Rush. The bosses are divided into five Tiers, with each new Tier signified by a status message in the chat and a brief rest period.
If a boss cannot normally be summoned correctly, the game will attempt to change whatever is needed in order to summon said boss, such as changing the time or teleporting the player somewhere else in the world.
The order is as follows:

Boss Rush Curses
There are five curses that can be enabled through the configuration options. They are disabled by default. The curses impose restrictions on the player while the Boss Rush is active. They serve no purpose other than to challenge the player and offer no additional rewards.
- The Accessory curse disables the sixth and seventh accessory slot gained through the Demon Heart and Celestial Onion.
- The Health curse negates all positive life regen.
- The Dash curse disables all dashes from items such as the Statis' Ninja Belt or Shield of Cthulhu.
- The Xeroc curse gives all enemies a reddish tint and increases their movement speed in a similar manor as the Demonshade enrage.
- The Immunity curse prevents the player from getting hit more than once within the span of five seconds. If the player is hit more than once within a span of five seconds, they will instantly die.
Notes
- Many bosses in the Boss Rush will use their AI and functions normally exclusive to Death Mode. This includes the Devourer of Gods' head instantly killing the player on contact, the Siren and Leviathan spawning simultaneously and immediately enraged, and more.
- However, some AI and functions still change between modes such as Hive Mind's AI and the number of brothers spawned by Calamitas.
- There is an additional Crystal and Rock Guardian for a total of five Profaned Guardians.
- Several bosses that are typically fought without Wings will set flight time to zero, much like the Defiled Rune.
- These include King Slime, the Desert Scourge, the Eye of Cthulhu, Crabulon, the Eater of Worlds, the Brain of Cthulhu, The Hive Mind, The Perforators, Queen Bee, and Skeletron.
- Bosses slain during Boss Rush do not drop any items or currency.
- The waiting time between the prior boss's death and the next boss spawning is 1 second during Tiers 1 through 3, which is increased to 3 seconds during Tier 4, and then to 6 seconds during Tier 5.
- All wire-activated mechanisms are disabled during a Boss Rush.
- Unlike the other bosses, the difficulty of Supreme Calamitas' battle is made easier in the Boss Rush compared to her usual fight.
- The health of the bosses during the event only scales up with 2 people in multiplayer.
- All mounts are disabled during the event.
- All bosses are immune to all debuffs except Ichor, Cursed Inferno, and Enraged.
- Although The Devourer of Gods is now vulnerable to Ichor and Cursed Inferno they have no effect on its damage reduction.
Tips
- Many health and buff potions should be brought, as the Boss Rush can easily take over twenty minutes.
- Despite being able to begin the Boss Rush at almost any point in the game, the player should definitely have end-game weapons and equipment before facing it if they hope to succeed.
- Contact damage with any of the bosses and their projectiles/minions should be avoided as they can easily deal over 200 damage even with endgame armor.
- Players should attempt to distance themselves from any floors or other solid tiles after defeating Providence, in order to maximize the amount of space available to them once Supreme Calamitas spawns and her arena generates.
- Avoid the Devourer of Gods' head at all costs, as contact with it will instantly kill the player.
- If the player killed Yharon midair, they must find a surface to stand on as the Devourer of Gods will otherwise charge towards them instantly killing them. Having an arena can solve this problem.
Trivia
- The boss progression was based on a series of polls that took place in the Calamity Mod Discord server, gauging players' favorite bosses and the ones they found the most difficult, with the resulting total being used to determine the rush's order.
