The Night's Stabber is a craftable Pre-Hardmode shortsword. Upon hitting an enemy with it, the enemy will release a homing projectile.
While it has an incredibly short range like most shortswords, it also has auto-swing, rendering it slightly more effective.
When the weapon's Shortstrike ability activates, enemy hits heal the player by 3 health, and have nightshade vines spawned on them that sprawl outwards for 5 tiles. Additionally, enemies are inflicted with Cursed Inferno, and the player's melee speed is increased by 5%.
Its best modifier is Legendary.
